Starbucks, Shopping, Catwalk...Elizabeth Arden???!!!

Heather-bear and I had a fabulous day today! There's nothing like meeting up at Starbucks for some girl time while drinking coffee. Yum! I am rereading "Breaking Free" by Beth Moore and Heather is now starting it. We discussed being accountable to each other reading through the chapters and discussing what God speaks to us each night. I am really looking forward to reading this again because I always seem to learn something new every time. God calls us to break free of our strongholds in our lives and be empowered women of God!

After Starbucks, we headed to Old Navy to see what was new. Every woman needs a classic trench coat in their wardrobe. Heather bought the gorgeous RED (of course!), and I bought my traditional khaki. They are the same size, which means we can share! Eeeeep! Now I am ready for cool weather!
After a few more stops and "cosmetic counter" conversations, we couldn't remember the name of one particular counter at the mall. We knew we couldn't sleep tonight without going by...off to the mall we went. While we were there, we were pulled up on stage at a MAC/HairBenders event where our friend/stylist gave me an "updo" and Heather curls. We strutted on the catwalk with cheers from the crowd...for 15 seconds, we were supermodels. :)

It was such a fun day together...Thank goodness it's Friday!

Proverbs 17:17

"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17

Sherra and I might as well be sisters...our friendship is such a blessing!  She is married...I am single.  She is 29...I am 23.  We each have unique experiences that allow us to challenge and encourage each other.  We have remained friends through many things...laughing together, crying together, shopping together, dressing up together...you get the idea.  So by way of introduction, let me enlighten you regarding the title of our blog...

Pink-Eyed Peas
Earlier this year, Sherra and I both had pink-eye at the same time.  We planned to go shopping in Atlanta one day and realized we would be shopping with pink-eye.  We are hardcore shoppers though and decided to go anyways...with eyedrops.  Sherra decided we needed to at least have a cool name, so in the spirit of the popular music group led by Fergie...we are the "Pink-Eyed Peas"

Strawberry Kool-Aid
Not even a week ago, I asked Sherra to help me recolor my hair. I wanted to be adventurous and try a brighter red.  Lets simply say this...the color I chose did not turn out at all, and my hair did indeed look like strawberry kool-aid!  Scary...even scarier that covering it with another color close to what I originally used did not help.  So I went to the salon the next day for help!

Welcome to our blog! Hope you will enjoy...
